The Croatian airline received its first of a total of 15 Airbus A220s on order in July 2024. The first scheduled flight led for historical reasons from the Croatian capital Zagreb to Frankfurt: in 1992, the first interna-tional flight of the then newly founded airline also led to Germany’s largest airport. With the arrival of the first state-of-the-art A220s, Croatia Airlines has been able to continue its international expansion, operating flights to currently 30 international destinations, supporting the countrys growth as a popular tourism destination. By the year 2027, the A220s are scheduled to replace the entire current fleet of Croatias flag carrier, consisting of A319s, A320s and Q400s.
