This Aviationtag Edition was made from the outer skin of a very special aircraft: aBoeing 727-200 Super 72with the registrationVP-CMO.
The aircraft was delivered to Singapore Airlines in 1979 (as the 9V-SGJ) and began its career in scheduled operations. After a short service with Alaska Airlines in 1985, it was extensively converted into aVIP aircraft. The cabin was given exclusive furnishings with 17 VIP seats, a private sleeping suite, a shower and a spacious lounge with high-quality woods and leather upholstery.
Technically, the VP-CMO has been upgraded to the rareSuper 72variant. New, quieter engines and winglets made the aircraft more powerful and efficient and significantly extended its service life.
Under various operator designations including VR-COJ and N31TR the machine was in use worldwide. It was last operated by MK Airlines before it was stored in Lasham (UK) in 2010 and finally scrapped in 2014.
However, part of its history remains: the aircraft lives on asAviationtag. The edition is not only a piece of aviation technology, but also tells the story of a former VIP jet from a bygone era.
Whether as a collector’s item, souvenir or symbol of the fascination of aviation – this Aviationtag brings a piece of Boeing 727 history directly into your hand.
